The pie chart clearly illustrates the purposes of traveling among college students. As is shown, enjoying the scenery accounts for the largest proportion at 37%, followed by relieving stress at 33%. Making friends and cultivating independence take up 9% and 6% respectively, while other purposes account for the remaining 15%.
Several factors may explain this phenomenon. Firstly, with the increasing academic pressure, college students are eager to escape the campus temporarily and immerse themselves in beautiful natural scenery to relax. Secondly, the high percentage of stress relief reflects the growing mental health challenges faced by today's students. They view travel as an effective way to recharge themselves.
From my perspective, this trend is understandable and largely positive. Traveling broadens one's horizons and provides valuable life experiences. However, students should also plan their trips reasonably within their budget and ensure that their academic responsibilities are not neglected.
