The chart presents a survey of how residents in a certain city usually exercise. The largest proportion, 54.3 percent, prefer to work out alone. Nearly half, 47.7 percent, choose to exercise with friends. By contrast, 23.9 percent exercise with family members, and only 15.8 percent take part in group activities.
These figures suggest that people value flexibility and personal choice in physical exercise. Working out alone is convenient because individuals can arrange the time and intensity according to their own schedules. Exercising with friends is also popular because it combines fitness with social interaction and may help people stay motivated. Family-based and group activities, though less common, still play an important role in strengthening relationships and creating a sense of community.
In my view, no single exercise pattern is best for everyone. The key is to choose a form that suits one’s needs and to keep it as a long-term habit.
