This novel, based on the historical figures Song Jiang and his companions' resistance against the feudal emperor, has been beloved by Chinese readers for centuries. The exciting stories in this novel have been repeatedly told in tea houses, on theatrical stages, through radio and television, on movie screens, and in countless homes.
