参考译文

In Chinese culture, red typically symbolizes good fortune, longevity, and happiness. During the Spring Festival and other festive occasions, red is ubiquitous. When people give cash as a gift to family members or close friends, it is usually placed in a red envelope. Another reason for red's popularity in China is that people associate it with the Chinese revolution and the Communist Party. However, red does not always represent good luck and joy. Since the names of the deceased were traditionally written in red, writing Chinese names in red ink is considered an offensive act.
