Due to the rapid development of communication networks, the number of smartphone users in China has grown at an astonishing rate in recent years. This has greatly changed the way many people read. They now often read news and articles on smartphones instead of buying traditional newspapers and periodicals. The development of a large number of mobile applications has enabled people to read novels and other forms of literary works on their phones. As a result, the sales of paper books have been affected. However, surveys show that despite the steady growth of the mobile reading market, more than half of adults still prefer to read paper books.
